In Italy, the media are once again dreaming of Barcelona star Lionel Messi’s arrival at Inter Milan. However, after his side’s 3-0 victory at Genoa on Saturday in Serie A’s 36th round of matches, Italian club coach Antonio Conte denied any possible arrival of the Argentinian.
“I think our general manager has already answered that question. We’re talking about Fantasy Football (fiction), situations which, for the moment, cannot be linked to Inter for many reasons,” he was keen to clarify firstly. “I don’t think there’s a madman in the world who wouldn’t want (Lionel) Messi,” said the Italian technician, “but this kind of situation is really very, very far from Inter (…) I repeat, it’s fantasy. For his part, Messi (33) is linked with Barça until 2021.
