Florian Thauvin should leave OM next summer, following the expiration of his contract.
Unless there is an improbable rebound, Florian Thauvin will no longer wear the colors of Olympique de Marseille next season. The trend according to which his path and that of the Marseille club would separate at the end of the current campaign is about to be verified. Daily The team reveals in its Saturday edition that the negotiations for a new lease have seriously cooled down.
Thauvin not won over by the Marseille offer
The French international was not convinced by the offer made to him by the Olympian management. However, this offered him a three-year lease and with a salary higher than the one he currently receives (€ 450,000 per month). But, there was no signing bonus and that is why the player stepped in and decided to stop the talks.
After eight seasons spent in Marseille and around 250 matches played, the native of Orleans is therefore on track to bounce back elsewhere. The world champion has been targeted by AC Milan lately. The Rossonerri were ready to bet € 20m for his services, and it’s a safe bet that they will come back once he is free from any commitment.
